Kinesiology

What is professional kinesiology?

Kinesiology: (from the Greek kinesis = movement, and logos = word, study)

Kinesiology is a mind-body technique that uses muscle tone to identify stress, blockages and unresolved emotional issues.

Using the "precision" muscle test, she calls on the body's memory, establishing a direct dialogue with it. This allows her to identify imbalances in relation to the client's objective. She seeks to achieve balance by unblocking physical, mental and emotional blockages.

History of kinesiology

There are various methods of professional kinesiology.

The story begins with applied kinesiology, discovered in 1964 by Dr. Goodheart, an American chiropractor who established the link between muscles and the meridians of Chinese medicine. In 1973, Dr. Thie, a student of Dr. Goodheart, developed Touch For Health(TFH ).

The 1980s saw the emergence of various kinesiology methods:

  • 3 in 1 Concepts: This is the basis of modern professional kinesiology. Thanks to various discoveries, this approach brings several systems into interaction, giving rise to the health triad. This is the basis of kinesiological balancing, which combines the body's physical, emotional and biochemical structure.
  • Educational kinesiology (Brain Gym, the 7Ds): Invented by Paul Dennison, this method uses movements, stretching and stimulation of specific points to harmonize and rebalance certain brain functions. It aims to facilitate the learning process.
  • Hyperton-X: Its aim is to free hypertonic muscles (those with excessive tension).

Session sequence

  1. Defining the goal: At the start of the session, the kinesiologist helps the client to define his or her goal, highlighting the criteria for success and the obstacles to achieving it (the reason for the appointment).
  2. Muscle testing and balancing: The kinesiologist then performs various tests to obtain a clear and accurate muscle test, and tests the goal. This must be LOW (sign of stress). Then, still using the muscle test, the body guides us towards the most appropriate balancing method for this objective.
  3. Anchoring and end of session: After balancing, the kinesiologist re-tests the initial objective. It must be STRONG (a sign that stress has been relieved). If necessary, the client is asked to do some work at home toanchor the session. The session ends.

Important precautions

It is important to note that the kinesiologist does not diagnose. They do not treat, cure or heal. He never substitutes for a medical authority. He receives clients and never encourages them to stop medical treatment.

Why have a kinesiology session?

A session can be beneficial for :

  • Free yourself from fears, physical pain and emotional blockages. These can be linked to trauma (childhood, accident, death), a belief system, family and trans-generational memories, or repetitive work or sport (pain, tendonitis, etc.).
  • Improve performance and free yourself from learning blocks: dyslexia, attention disorders, reading, writing, comprehension, exam preparation, sports competitions, etc.
  • Freedom from addiction, allergies, OCD, phobias, etc.
  • Accompanying pregnancy, before and after childbirth, but also helping to conceive a child.
